Dr. Louise Jeffery leads projects around tracking climate action at NewClimate. She has more than a decade of experience in climate change policy research, primarily in evaluating national mitigation efforts. At NewClimate she is focussing on approaches for translating the Paris Agreement to sectoral and country-specific needs for reducing emissions. She also contributes to managing the organisation. Louise is trained in earth sciences and holds a BSc and MSc from the University of Cambridge (Geology) and a PhD from the University of Michigan (Earth and Environmental Sciences). She previously worked at the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research (PIK) where she developed methods for assessing national fair share contributions, evaluating country targets, and assessing global progress on mitigation.
