Judit Hecke focuses on energy systems analysis in the fields of climate action tracking and development. Judit is also part of the team working towards a clean affordable and secure energy transition in Southeast Asia (CASE) and serves as a country lead for several Latin American countries for the Climate Action Tracker to quantify countries’ GHG emission trajectories. She has also supported other analytical work to track - among others – transformations to achieve the Paris Agreement, emissions in cities or EV-uptakes in countries based on policies. Prior to working at NewClimate Institute, Judit worked in the field of Ocean Energy at the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), as a research assistant at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts and as a design engineer in the private sector. Judit holds a B.Sc. in Energy Systems Engineering from the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts and an M.Sc. in Energy, Society and Sustainability from the University of Edinburgh.
