Technology NDE for Germany

Supporting the German National Designated Entity (NDE) for technology transfer, to foster cooperation and technology transfer in support of climate policy goals.

In a consortium led by HEAT International, NewClimate Institute has been contracted by the German Ministry of Economics and Energy to operate the German National Designated Entity (NDE) for technology transfer.

The main purpose of the NDE is to act as a central hub for activities and information related to German technology transfer in the context of the international climate policy framework. This includes serving as a point of contact for other NDEs as well as the Climate Technology Network (CTCN). The NDE will provide information and analysis on climate related technology needs of developing countries and connect these to potential supplier markets. A key activity is also the organisation of networking events and workshops targeted at German and international technology suppliers to foster cooperation and technology transfer in support of climate policy goals.
