Natalie Pelekh is a climate policy analyst at NewClimate Institute working in climate action tracking and development, with a specific focus on agriculture and food systems.

Prior to joining NewClimate, Natalie was a sustainability consulting intern at a circular economy think tank. Her work included quantifying the material flows and greenhouse gas emissions reduction potential in European food systems and helping develop a city’s climate action plan. She holds a Bsc. in Environmental Sustainability from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where she worked with environmental education and community engagement organizations. She also holds a MSc. in Environmental Management and Physical Planning from Stockholm University and spent a semester studying socio-ecological systems at the Stockholm Resilience Centre. Natalie joined the team in July 2021 and is based in Berlin.
