Finn Hossfeld analyses sectoral and national climate action and supports bilateral partnerships to accelerate policy implementation and enable just transitions. As a member of the Climate Action Tracker team, he assesses mitigation targets and policies against the Paris Agreement’s objectives, focusing on major emitters in North America and Europe. Prior to joining NewClimate, he researched the intersection of decarbonisation and equity at the U.S. Department of Energy’s Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, evaluating approaches for measuring the equity impacts of the energy transition at regional and national levels. Finn graduated from Duke University with a BA in Public Policy and minors in Economics and Environmental Science and Policy.
