Swithin joined NewClimate Institute in early 2018 as a Climate Policy Analyst, working primarily on issues related to development and climate as well as tracking climate action.
Swithin holds a MSc in Environmental Economics and Climate Change from the London School of Economics and Political Science, where he wrote his dissertation on the quantitative effects of post-natural disaster aid in South Asia and the subsequent policy implications for development under expected climate change scenarios.
Previously, Swithin worked as a research analyst in the environmental sector, collaborating with scientists, NGOs, and academics across Southeast Asia to influence public policy issues concerning land-use change, urban planning and natural resource management.
He has lived in Hong Kong, China, Canada, US, Cambodia, Tanzania and the UK before joining NewClimate in the Berlin office.
