Gustavo De Vivero works on low-carbon development and policy analysis. As an expert in power systems he focuses on policy, market design and technoeconomic analysis of power systems as key enablers to the energy transition. His expertise covers, among others, producing quantitative and qualitative policy assessments, performing energy systems modelling and providing support to national governments to increase their climate ambition and to drive the energy transition. Gustavo is also part of the Climate Action Tracker team that evaluates national climate change efforts and quantifies GHG emissions and reduction potentials. Prior to joining NewClimate Institute, Gustavo worked as a researcher on energy systems modelling and as a consultant for the technical, economic and regulatory analysis of power systems. He also has experience working for international organizations. Gustavo has a background as an industrial Engineer with a focus on Electric Power Systems.
