Anna Nilsson is a Climate Policy Analyst at NewClimate Institute since 2019, specifically focusing on climate action tracking and development. Her current work at NewClimate involves the improvement of the Climate Action Tracker as well as the development of low carbon strategies in country specific contexts. Anna has previous experience in quantitative analysis of matching energy supply and demand through scenario based modelling and forecasting.
Prior to joining NewClimate, Anna has worked with the WRI on the inter-linkage between energy access and socio-economic development in East Africa. She also worked with REN21 on renewable energy policies based in Paris, France. She has academic and professional experiences from Argentina, France, Sweden and Uganda. Anna holds a MSc in Energy Systems Analysis and a BSc in Energy and Environmental Engineering from the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Stockholm, with parts taken at Instituto Tecnologico de Buenos Aires (ITBA).
