Marie-Jeanne Kurdziel works as climate policy analyst, she has over seven years of experience in the field of international climate politics and sustainable development. Her work centres on the enhancement and implementation of nationally determined contributions (NDCs) and low-carbon development strategies, as well as on the development of conceptual and policy frameworks for just transition, multi-level governance and climate diplomacy. She combines analytical expertise with solid in-country experience from working closely with governments and non-state actors on the ground. Prior to joining NewClimate Institute, Marie-Jeanne worked for the Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), supporting the International Climate Initiative (IKI). Marie-Jeanne holds a BA in Politics and Management from the University of Konstanz and an MA in International Relations from the Free University of Berlin, Humboldt-University Berlin and University of Potsdam.
